Renting in Gozo
Gozo's rental market is smaller than Malta's. Victoria, Munxar and Xlendi, Xagħra and Għajnsielem are the Gozo localities with the most registered leases.
Buying in Gozo
Gozo is one of the areas buyers from overseas look at, as well as local first-time buyers. There is no separate stamp duty rate for Gozo; grants for older property in Gozo are paid separately. See the stamp duty calculator for the duty.
The figures on this page are asking prices from current listings, not final agreed prices.
Before you sign
- Check that the lease will be registered with the Housing Authority; landlords must register residential leases.
- For an older house, ask whether it is in an Urban Conservation Area: it changes the duty and the grants.
